1.) IRS.gov: Hanging out on the Internal Revenue Service’s website is probably not your idea of a fun time! However, it’s an incredibly important step when it comes to running and managing your new business. As a new business, you need to be aware of tax write-offs and the overall tax process. While this may not seem important when you’re first starting out, we’re here to tell you – it’s very important!

Not only will keeping track of taxes save you time and money in the long-run but it’ll also keep everything above board. You can write off a number of expenses, such as work-related travel, business insurance, office supplies, and home office expenses. Additionally, when it comes to tax season it’s important that you’ve familiarized yourself with the myriad wonders of the business tax world! This will make the filing process a lot smoother and a lot quicker.

2.) Entrepreneur Magazine: At the Million Dollar Mama Club, we strongly believe in taking advice from professionals! Which is why we trust Entrepreneur Magazine. They’ve taken over the market for “best business advice for new businesses and small businesses”. Their articles are some of the highest-rated articles in this field, and they’ll always be the top option when you type any business-related question into your search engine.

4.) National Federation of Independent Businesses: Just like you, there are so many other women pursuing business and chasing their dreams. NFIB seeks to help these women! It’s an advocacy organization for small businesses and it boasts over 325,000 members in the United States. The website is a goldmine of information on best practices for new businesses, with an emphasis on government.

NFIB.com is your go-to when it comes to navigating government programs, such as the Affordable Care Act, among numerous others. It also details new laws and policies and how these could affect you and your new business.

5.) Small Business Association: The Small Business Association is a fountain of help and information for women in the business network and women starting their own business. The “create your own business plan” section of the website is a fabulous starting point when it comes to drafting your own business plan! This resource is completely free and it will walk you through the entire process of creating a business plan – telling you what to include and how to stand out in your chosen field.

6.) SCORE: Score is another great resource when it comes to pushing forward the women’s entrepreneurial network. SCORE seeks to help new business owners through podcasts and business workshops. They also have a section on their website that helps new business owners formulate their business plan, and they offer free mentoring services – both in person and via email.

7.) LinkedIN: The LinkedIN user interface is easy to use, making LinkedIN one of the leading social media platforms for professional networking. On LinkedIn, everything is based in facts – which is how it stands out from other social media channels. You most likely already have a personal profile on LinkedIN, but you can level up by adding a company page and promoting it!

By creating a company page you can build brand awareness among people who are already acquainted with you, while also discovering a whole new audience for your business. Company pages also tend to rank high in searches, so when people look up your business name on any search engine they’ll find your LinkedIn company page almost immediately. This is great for brand awareness and the overall marketing of your new business!

8.) Later Blog: Having a strong online presence is more important than ever before, and social media is an amazing tool to help grow your brand!
